Partner having trouble working chest!!!!!!

My new partner is having trouble working his chest due to his hurting shoulder. this guy use to be one of the most deticated person i knew when it came to working out. he has juiced many times. He hasnt worked out hard in a couple years and he is trying to get back in to it. the only problem is his shoulder is stopping him. what do u guys think he should do?

If he has a shoulder problem he should back off for a bit and then concentrate on strenghtening his rotator cuffs. Shoulders are very prone to injury due to their degree of movement as well as being involved in almost every exercise. Warming up and icing down can really help as well.

Best of luck to him.

I have the same problem. I now stick to machines for chest (I like the Hammer Strengths) and have been getting good results. Also supplementing some Glucosime Sulfate and Chondrotin helps with cartilage and joint repair. If doing free weight chest movements, have him stay light and concentrate on form...

Thanks bros. ill tell him yalls advice. we dont know what kind of injury it is. he just started working back out with me. today was his first day to hit his chest. He was just gonna warm up with what i warm up with. hes much stronger and bigger and when i seen him hurting while warming up with that i was suprised.

I'm just getting over a rotator injury and it was painful.....if he can do like i did lay off a week! everything! cause you will only aggravate it- after that to work shoulders use standing cable flys- the cable should be taller than you ,pull down from the shoulders with arms extended outwards to your sides down to the floor at a 45 degree angle..this works the lower Pecs and takes the pressure off the shoulders....Peace!!! kool. im trying to gte him back on the juice. told him deca will help his joint, but for some reason he sems a lil scared. hes the one that got me into working out and AS

Have him stop straight bar pressing. I injured my rotator over 2 years ago from regular bench pressing. Alot of people don't realize that when you come down to your chest your shoulder socket seperates. To avoid this keep the bar 6 inches from the chest or the best thing to do is dumbell presses. Since my injury I have not flat benched at all, but I throw up the 100's on dumbells with no pain at all. Plus I think it is better for chest growth. I have no idea how much I can bench and probably never will. Also, it took over 1 year for my shoulder to completely heal. MSM helps tremendously with the healing process at 3000mg's per day and use pinapple bromelain for the pain at 3600 GDU's per day.
