One side of chest gets pumped the other doesnt--COMING BACK FROM INJURY

ok guys i hope i didnt damage a nerve or anything from when i was injured but when i do hammer chest press, my left chest gets pumped as hell but i feel nothing on my right side of chest. (Injured right shoulder 9 months ago and jist starting back up now)

Maybe i just have a mental block that prevents me from activating the chest on right side dunno...

Anyone else experience this when coming backfrom an injury

Try dropping the weight it might be to much for your shoulder and really squeeze your chest when you extend

Its dropped pretty low. Im doing 15-20 rep range. And i do try to squeeze but still only left side feels the squeeze. It could be the opposite actually. The weight may not be heavy enough for the chest to come into play. Time will tell i guess.(i will slowly go heavier..

Have you noticed any muscle atrophy on your right pec?

I have similar issue my whole right side is .5inch smaller to left. I have started doing extra reps on right. Don't know if it works yet

Iv done other measurements and my right chest is smaller. And so is my traps. Whole right side is smaller(injured side)

:(
Must be the cortisol from injury making that side lose more muscle

I delt with this too.. I had surgery on on my right shoulder. The muscle atrophied a little and at first I couldn't feel my right pec squeezing. Very annoying lol. Whenever I do chest I try really hard to focus on keeping both my shoulders in the position so my pecs are stretched, expanded. When I press I think about my elbows staying somewhat in a fixed position and use my chest as much as I can. It's not easy. I spent many hours practicing contracting my right pec, without weight just flexing. This has helped me feel the muscle more and now my chest is finally equaling out.

It just takes time and practice feeling the muscle.

Thx bro... Ill start trying that

yeah i had shoulder surgery last march (year ago) and i still dont have the same feeling or ROM that i used to have. I have the same issue that my whole right side seems to be smaller and also worried about some nerve damage. i just cant contract it like i used to. Its frustrating man hang in there. good luck and if you figure anything out let me know. Its embarrassing and you feel like everyones looking at how uneven you are!
