One legged squats

Has anyone ever tried these? I think i remember a old thread over this subject, but not certain. I cannot remember the proper technique. spatterson, Arioch, Hannibal, Cornholio, Warlobo, or anyone at all. My next leg day is sunday and i want to try it i think.

Popular belief aside - I am a big proponent of Smith Machine Lunges. No balance of the bar is necessary. Unrack the bar - take a step forwards length foot placement and start. The correct placement will be one that allows you to move up and down in a nearly vertical fashion.
 
Same as what Corn said except to make them one-legged squats, put your rear foot on a bench behind you. You still maintain vertical movement up & down but you will have your weight on one leg. Works for lifting the glutes really well.:)
