One Arm Dumbell Deadlift question

Hello,

2 weeks ago i started doing One Arm Dumbbell Deadlift to make my grip and both sides of my body stronger because one was like 7kg weaker. I do them just like the Barbell Deadlift so the Dumbbell is in front of me.

Now my question is if i work it up to 75kg each hand for 3 reps do you think i can when i go back to Barbell Deadlift 2 Hands that i can lift around 150kg?

Greets Wes.

Very unlikely. I can do 315 with my left hand on a barbell and can only lift mid 400's with both arms

Its funny. I have a 6 plus dead and really don't think I could do a dumbell lift with one arm using proper deadlifting form.

Thanks for the answers i don't use straps.

I will work my way up to 75kg each hand after that going to pick up both dumbbells at the same time if that works then i will try to do Barbell Deadlift 150kg.

If you want to do this, might I recommend a device that will - in my experience - do really well?

I suggest you invest in a loading pin and Rolling Thunder. Because it is larger diameter, and the grip "rolls" it is awesome at developing grip strength. Plus the action of using it will give you a bit of the deadlift motion (I say "a bit" since when it is attached to a loading pin it is about 14" above the ground).

Furthermore, Rolling Thunder is used in many grip contests, and not so long ago in strongman events.
