Ok, who's NOT on low carb diet?!

This low carb diet has literally taken the country by storm. Almost 3/4 of the people I know are on this diet ... I don't get it. You can lose weight just by dropping calories, and you can still eat the good-stuff ..... anyone else find this weird.

Depends on your definition of "low carbs" ......

I've NEVER been on a low carb diet.....sure, I may watch my intake, but moderation is the key..........I can go from 12-14% to 6-7% and still take in 150g of carbs......plus, the feeling you get when you do have too few carbs, sucks!

I'm not....I don't restrict carbs while bulking...I want as much strength as possible when I'm in the gym right now. But, come April, I will be low carb again. Man, that's gonna suck...but it's a necessary evil.

Let's define low carb. I would NEVER advocate a diet where you eat 30 grams of carbs a day, 7 days a week. Personally I take in about 20-40 grams per day, 3 days straight, followed by a day of carb loading in which I eat around 600-800 grams. That is an average of around 200 grams a day, I just believe it more beneficial to eat them at one time, if one wished to create an optimal anabolic environment. However, many classify my diet as low carb.

The real importance of this whole low-carb wave (once the radical stuff dies down, as it always does) will hopefully be that it has taught people *to think about* how they use carbs and to learn how to use them wisely for their particular needs and body/metabolic type.

You can stay in ketosis with a carb up every 3 days ?

I cannot function without carbs. I usually take about 250-300g of a carbs a day. I've tried to do 200 or less carbs a day, I am shit. I can't think, nothing, I am mostly thinking about food that contains carbs. Whole Wheat and Apple juice are my favorite so I will not let go! Never!
