Ok guys, I need some help deciding how to approach the time from Jan-July before next football season. I haven't lifted heavy in three months, thanks to a partially torn tricep and tricep tendon which I played with all season. All of December will be dedicated to rehab and just getting my body back into lifting. (My chest is sore from doing 3x8 on the incline bench with only 135lbs!)
Before the injury, I was 290lbs, 16-17% bf. I'm still 285lbs, but have obviously lost lean mass, not being able to lift. I'm probably 18%bf right now. I'd like to come into next season at 275-280, 13-14%bf... i think I was too heavy this year.
I'll probably just run Test Prop at 600mgs/wk for all of June and July because that doesn't put me in danger of testing positive. And I believe in time on = time off, so I'll want to be off April and May.
That means I have Jan, Feb, and March to cycle as well. It's this period for which I need to figure out an approach. Whether I bulk, cut, or something in between, what drugs to use, how to approach diet, etc. My training will be geared toward increasing functional lower body strength and speed, as these are my weaknesses. I bench over 450 healthy, so upper body strength isn't a concern.
I know this seems really vague... thats intentional. I'm kind of hoping to just get some of the valuable meathead brains on here brainstorming, as I'm completely open to ideas. Thanks for any advice or suggestions.
n.b. remember i get tested, so deca/eq is impossible. 5 month clearance drugs like long acting test, etc are ok but would have to be done by end of feb.
