Hey guys. I was wondering if you could help me out. I enlisted in the USMC and need to lose 33lbs by the 25th of January to be able to leave with my friend on the buddy program. I've had a hard time sticking to a diet. What would you guys suggest in terms of working out and nutrition? My workouts are usually consist of high intensity cardio 3 times a week. My eating habits are what is all jacked up. Any advice? Like a specific diet plan? Thanks in advance...

With Respect,
-Ray

6 small balanced meals per day, lots of water. run for an hour 5 days per weak as soon as you get out of bed before you eat. cut all junk food.

Should I be taking protein shakes at all? Low fat Cottage Cheese before I go to sleep? (heard from a friend)

shakes are ok. you are not trying to be a body builder, you are trying to get into shape to join the military. just shed the fat and build the endurance and speed. these make a good soldier. keep a low fat healthy diet. eat your greens, meats, and grains all from wholesome foods. no processed crap.

Just did my morning cardio about 2 hours ago. Man it sucks working out with no food in you. I had very little energy. Not to mention I'm useless in the morning. Are fruits ok? Should my 6 meals consist of 3 food meals and 3 shakes (food shake food shake food shake) or all foods?

id say make your first meal a shake. other than that id say all food. you could throw in an apple and some berries if you want. just make sure you get your veggies in and keep these meals small. you should be hungry by the next meal time, and you should be starving after your cardio.

OK. Morning Cardio..approx 20 minutes after the cardio a shake. then food every 2-3 hours after the shake until I go to sleep. Sound about right?

No supplements what so ever? Fiber? Calcium pills? Multivitamin? l-carnitine? Fat Burner?

i think l-carnitine and vitamin c, bcaas/whey and coffee(or good thermo fat burner) before your morning run is a good idea.

good luck:)

why only 20 mins? are you getting ready for a bb show or the military? run an hour.

You misread what I typed. "approx 20 minutes after the cardio a shake" ..As in, when I'm done cardio, weight 20 minutes then take a shake.
