New to Elite Fitness!

welcome. there is so much great info on the site, start reading. haha

Thank you bro! Trust me I have been overwhelmed with the amount of info on here sense I've joined! Great site! Look forward to hearing about your successes. Cheers

Wow bro those pics are impressive. It will take you some time to get your body back but it should come quicker than the first time.
I found it interesting that all your right side measurements were larger than your left except your left wrist. Jerk off much? Jk bro
Glad to have you here and look forward to seeing you regain your fitness!

LOL! Thank you for the post bro! Very much appreciate the encouragement, it is nice to hear! I am going back at it and going to go for better than ever this time around, no more falling off the bandwagon. I was amazed at my measurements too, last time I took them about 10 months ago, my left side measurments were bigger then my right

Look forward to hearing of your successes!

Thank you RADAR! What do you recommend for flexibility? Stretching? Or fascia massaging? I did a lot of foam rolling, is that ok?

I appreciate your help! Happy to be part of the EF family!

I usually do a couple sets light before i start training on a specefic bodypart, after you're finished your workout then you can stretch, When you work out, lactic acid builds up in your muscles. This often leads to muscle soreness and fatigue. Stretching after a workout helps to reduce muscle fatigue. When you stretch after a workout, your muscles are warm and you benefit from increased blood circulation.

Stretching will help your muscles to recover faster from a tough workout. Muscle soreness is one of the reasons that many people skip exercising. When you stretch, the likelihood is much higher that you will proceed with your next workout and prevent future injury.

I have tried more using your warmup lighter theory and what a difference in "the pump" feeling after getting the muscles warmed up.

I appreciate your recommendation and advice! New year of training has been going awesome so far!

Sorry fellas! Been a hectic crazy week but still been rocking the workouts and staying motivated. Tonight was a big back & tricep workout and it felt great! Modified from my normal plan of attack to try to confuse the muscle but still work it the way I have my plan layer out. Diet has been going well, staying away from the junk but having a hard time moving away from the rockstar no sugar energy drinks which I know are still not good for me. I am going to post a new thread with my meals and see what everyone thinks.

Hope everybody is doing great!

Updated - Measurements 2013 Jan 1st - Harsh reality check as just over 6 months ago I was 225 lbs, 8% BF and getting more ripped by the day.

(BMI – 30.3 BF% - 18.1%)
Weight – 230lbs
Neck – 15.0
Shoulders – 52.2
Upper Chest – 47.4
Navel – 43.4
Hips – 42.7
Right thigh – 26.6
Left thigh – 25.6
Right Calf – 15.9
Left Calf – 15.8
Right Bicep – 17.2
Left Bicep – 16.6
Right Forearm – 12.6
Left Forearm – 13.1

These stats dont make much sense. How in the hell do you measure? 15.5" calf, 16.5" arms, 12.5" forearms at 230lb is really weird..
When i was 233 at 5"7 30%bf, I had 18.7" arms, 14.5 forearms and 16.8" calf (I have the worst calf genetic), now at 159lb 8% i have 16" arms, 15.5" calf and 12" forearms, these are almost the same stat you have at 230 and im 70lb lighter.. Really strange.

So! First workout of 2013 all done up, and what an awesome way to kick start the new year. Thank you to psizzle8 - for her reccomended shoulder workout!

1) DB Press – 70 lbs x 10 x 5 Sets (ss) Side Lat Raises - 25 lbs x 10 x 5 Sets
2) BB Military Press - 15lbs x 10 x 5 Sets (ss) Bent Lat Raises - 22.5 lbs x 10 x 5 Sets
3) Side Lat Raises - 20 lbs x 20 x 3 Sets (ss) Front Raises - 20 lbs x 20 x 3 Sets
4) Cable Face Pulls - 60 lbs x 15 x 3 Sets

Overall felt good, shoulders were tired after first superset, but banged my way through it and finished out with 15 minutes of LISS Cardio and shoulder fascia massaging.

What is everyones thoughts?
nice...didn't wanna do the steering wheels though? you're missing out, those bad boys left me unable to pick up my water bottle afterwards, not to mention the best and most rounded-out delts i've ever had
