Hi Wanna --- welcome to the boards! I'll tell you the first things you will hear from us --
1) If you are coming back from surgery, make sure you get input from your doctor as far as activity and diet.
2) Since alot of us here are primarily interested in training in the form of resistance training and cardio, you will be advised to do some resistance training and cardio. The value of resistance training to both your body's strength and ability to lose fat is very great. Cardio will help you lose fat, but it will also help you to lose muscle. Definitely add some weight lifting to your regimen.
3) If resistance training and cardio are important, diet is even more so. You need to eat enough to make your body run optimally in order to lose the garbage weight (fat). The idea is protein is most optimally processed every 2-3 hours so eating 5-6 small meals per day instead of forcing down 3 meals will get you better results.
4) Xenadrine will increase the thermogenic process and might also be impacting your appetite a little. Don't know your dosage, but you might want to get either your appetite or your eating habits to the point where you can eat some good food to support the whole fat dropping process. Or drop your dosage a little.
And spend lots of time searching. You will find many questions already answered. For some more broad, basic info, you might check out
www.about.com, and search under diet and training. eDiets.com is also a good site.
Good luck!
