My progress so far

Well since my shitty day 2-3 weeks ago, things have slowly been getting better. First of all, I went back to my limo company, and instead of terminating me we agreed to put me of suspension until I lose the weight and improve on my next physical.

I been working out and doing cardio, slowly getting into a groove. I have been trying to eat healthier, even though I give into temptation once in a while. Overall, I feel like I am doing better.

So far, after 2-3 weeks I have lost 10 pounds. I don't know if 1/2 is water weight or whatever. All I know is the number is going down and it makes me smile (just a little one, not too big).

I will continue to keep you all updated.

Again, thank you all for the positivity and encouragement. It really boosted me up when I was down.

Thanks!!!

congrats bro and the weight loss and getting your job back. Keep up the good work and stick with it. The dropping scale definately keeps you motivated. It really feels good to see the scale dropping and noticing little differences in your physique.

Yeah, but make sure not to get to caught up in it. The mirror doesn't lie; the scale certainly can.

In fact, when I'm cutting my goal is to NOT lose bodyweight (hopefully gaining muscle while I'm dropping fat so weight is staying constant), while getting visibly leaner. Of course, it doesn't usually work out that way but this helps to ensure retention of LBM.

It doesn't really make much sense to me why people are so caught up in scale weight. If I start my cut at 240lbs 15%, isn't it more successful if I end up at 230lbs 10% as opposed 220lbs 10%?

oh i totally agree, but i know from personal experience from being rather overweight for 95% of my life, that when you start out, that the scale is definately very helpful as a motivator, but that's also why I said "noticing little changes in your physique".
