Low/Moderate Intense Cardio in the home?

What are some good forms of cardio I can do to burn fat in the home? Because I can't always get out of the house, like at 1-2 AM (I'm always up late) and figure I need something to do in the house. Anyone know any good lil' routines to get the heart active, and fat burning but at a pace which can be continued for long durations?

i do "stair sprints" up and down the 6 floors of my apartment building. if you don't live in an apartment buliding though, then maybe jump rope?

go running, why be trapped indoors... You can jump rope as CollegeKid said or you can shadow box, most fighters train this way....

stationary bike, elliptical machine. I personally use the bike because I get up at 4:30am to bike appx 30 minutes. Love it too.

shadow boxing sounds good to me, i'm sick of the damn stationery bike. how exactly do you do this? just start throwing some punches for about 15 minutes or...? enlighten me plz

Sagat, best way for me is to work on form first and then combos...
Example:
40 left jabs while moving around to get some footwork in, rest
then 40 staright rights while moving, rest,
then 20-30 left hooks, rest
20-30 right hooks, rest

Then 20 combos of Jab, straight right, left hook
20 Straight right, jab, right hook, left hook
20 jabs, straight right, jab, straight right, left hook

That is my basic routine to get back into shape, try to move your feet a lot so you get a feel for balance and timing

hey thnx a lot pal, i've tried it before and i would just do some combinations but it would tire me out very quickly. one last question: do you really put force behind your punches or..? 'cause i used to do that but it put some stress on my shoulders and elbow joints

not so much as force but just speed, and not just out eitherl, you need to pull back just as fast to practice getting your guard up... IF you get sore from it then you need to slow down and gradually build up over the days so it doesn't hurt. Try not to ball up your fist untill the last moment (I usually don't even do that), and work on foot placement and balance when throwing more than one punch.....
