ya i was dissapointed but fights are tough josh just had better skills on the ground
in mma you gotta know how to fight on the groung from top or bottom as chris would say piss poor performance ,i think he might find his way into somebodys training camp after the show is over perhaps randys

exactly he should have let them fly i can see feeling out the other guy but when it's only 2 rds you gotta make something happen i think they should have had a third round but you cant take nothing away from josh he did what he had to to win borring but still a win now well have to listen to him talking shit about chris till he gets knocked off the show

I knew Leben would be a disappointment. Too much mouth. And did you see his "punches" while he was prepping for the fight? Talk about flailing arms. So when it came down to it in the ring, I knew he wouldn't connect. I don't think Josh is that great of a fighter, but he did fight smart. Dana said it...never let the judges decide. Yeah...the bout was boring as hell but I'm not shedding a tear to see that pussy go.

I think Chris and Nate Quarry are already on Team Quest with Randy. If so, I can't figure out why his ground game was so weak. I know Josh is a good wrestler, but Chris looked as though he had never practiced defending against takedowns.

I felt ripped off on that show neither one of them looked like they have ever fought anyone. Josh came with some weak ass punchs and Chris should have countered. I dont understand how Chris has a record of 18-1 with some submissions he looks like he never fought before.

This was only the 2nd episode I have watched and the first with a fight. I just hope the rest of the matches are a lot better. That fight was a disgrace. Poor stand up (you could argue that there was no stand up). I can not figure out what style of grappling they were trying to do. At least Chris made several attempts at a submission. I think Randy summed it up when he said that in the judges opion the guy in the gaurd always looks like he is winning.

yes, it was like the judges pretended since there was not a KO or Submission that it was a wrestling match and awareded points based off of takedowns....
the only other thing I saw was after the ref warned Chris 'for the last time' Chris still landed four or so shots to the back of Josh's head

Exactly.

As far as the judging goes, I mean you gotta look at it like this: who would you have rather been that round? Going by that, Josh clearly won both rounds

Regardless, for all the hype Josh's ground skills were no where to be seen. Anybody can sit in sombody's gaurd for 5 minutes.

As I mentioned this was only the second episode I have seen but the attitude of these guys seems a bit undeserved. Josh and Chris talked a huge game and brought nothing. It is the quite fighters like Randy Coulture that would scare the piss out of me.

I saw earlier shows and knew his ground and pound was lacking in the second half
also saw his standup wasn't very good
I also think the Ref let Josh stay there and do nothing for way too long
I'm not sure what the standard is but he was obviously just trying to get to theground to avoid the poundinghe would have taken if it had been straight standup
I don't mind grounding a guy if you are looking for a submission or some ground and pound but Joshgrounded Chris not out of a plan to defeat him but out of fear of getting his ass kicked

apparenlty it was a good plan because it worked but I think it made for a shitty fight
