Air has killed everyone who has breathed it and water has killed everyone who drank it. Using the logic behind your arguement, these activities are more dangerous than boxing.

Actually it's a dumb arguement. WWF is what it is, boxing is what it is, and MMA is what it is.

actually air did not kill everyone who breathed it
and water has not killed everyone who drank it
everyone who ever drank water has died or will die at some point
but drinking water did not kill them...
and I'm not saying pro wrestling is like martial arts
please pay attention to what I am actually saying

unless you were bitching at someone else, and then that is ok

I wouldn't necessarilly say that its scripted either; move for move anyways. The wrestlers do know who is going to win and lose a match even before it begins, but they go through the match unscripted. These days, alot of the stunts and strikes are real, but it still looks fake. Like acrobats or gymnastics. Just knowing that the feuds and the characters are made up makes wresting unwatchable to me.
A while back a friend of mine tried to talk about wrestling, and I said that its fake, and he goes, "Some of it is real" lol
When I was a kid I used to think (or be in denial) that wrestling was real. I watched it religiously. Then the show "60 Minutes" interviewed Sting. The guy asked Sting, "What's the truth, is wrestling fake?" "Yes" Sting answered.
I NEVER watched wrestling again the moment I heard that.

Thats what is so great about UFC, and Ultimate Fighter, and Pride, and NHB in general. No staged or scripted fights, feuds, or characters. No shady decisions like in boxing (although I do question the decision of Bas Rutten defeating Kevin Randleman back in the day).

well anytime there are judges deciding a fight there is the potential for controversy
but I basically feel that if Bodybuilding is a sport so is pro wrestling
if bodybuilding is not a sport neither is pro wrestling
I havn't really made up my mind which way I feel but I am sure that they are in the same category wherever they fall

well, I've had mixed feelings the whole week about who I think the winner of this match will be. As of right now, I'm guessing Josh will take the fight with some Ground and Pray. Judging from the clips from the preview and some other stuff, I think Josh gets at least 2 takedowns. Leben is a part of team quest, and is a personal trainer there, so he trains w/ very skilled grapplers to begin with. I'm sure he knows what to do in those situations.

I think this fight will go the entire 3 rounds and the winner will be decided via decision.

28 more hours to go untill the episode...its driving me nuts ;) .

I'm passing up sex for this show tonight, so it better be good.

Oh wait, I have a vcr. Nevermind.

This was only the 2nd episode I have watched and the first with a fight. I just hope the rest of the matches are a lot better. That fight was a disgrace. Poor stand up (you could argue that there was no stand up). I can not figure out what style of grappling they were trying to do. At least Chris made several attempts at a submission. I think Randy summed it up when he said that in the judges opion the guy in the gaurd always looks like he is winning.
