Leg workout questions

On wednesday I do a leg workout, and on Sat or Sun I usually go hiking. Is this going to cause problems, if I am still a bit sore during my hike?

Also how many reps should I be doing my squats + deadlifts for. Currently I am doing for about 6 reps apiece. My goal is to gain mass - is 6 reps too many? Thanks guys.

the hike is ok and actually might be positive because it'll draw blood into your legs. 6 reps is good for mass. 3-6 reps works the type 2 b's.

Probably depends on the severity of the hike.I used to go hiking in the mountains in Phoenix and the hike I selected depended on how well my legs were recovered from the previous weight session. If my legs were still sore,I'd hike a low inclined path.If my legs felt strong, I'd hike Camelback Mountain which was so steep you had to actually climb in places.

The hike is probably good for you. Gets the blood flowing to the legs helps them recover. For mass you want to be doing 6-10 reps. Any lower thatn six and your building more strenght not hypertrophy. Its all about how much time under tension you are in.

the hike wil not cause you problems, may make you drag a little in the gym if you did it before a leg workout,.......you'll be fine
