Leg and thigh weight amount

So looking to add a kettle ball. The only videos I can find are of girls.
If a little 5'3 girl Michelle Lewin uses this much for a kettle ball how much should a large guy be able to use?
Cause honestly I can't even find kettle ball as heavy as the 80lber she's using. At end shes' doing sets with 80 70 and 60. I would assume that means a large guy would want about double that? Where do you even find a 160lb kettle ball to see if you can use it? And no my gym doesn't have ones that large.

The heaviest kettlebell that I know of is 64kg (141 lbs) - maybe there could be bigger though. They're over $200 online, so be prepared to shell out some money.

Almost forgot what this post was about after watching her video haha.

Didn't see any kettlebells in there? Looks like she was using plain old dumbells to me. Dumbells at my gym go up to 150lbs, but I realize it's different everywhere. Have you considered sumo deadlifts for that movement instead? Or it could be done on a leg press .

I realized she was using a dumbbell but I think it would be easier to hang onto a real kettleball especially if it's over 120lbs. But I guess I could use the 130 dumbbell at the gym before buying the actual huge kettle to make sure I can handle it. Thanks

You could easily make a loadable thick dumbbell that fits the Olympic size plates at your gym so you only gotta bring the pipe. Which may work in your case. I wouldn't load more than say 175lbs on it though, and have not tested dumbbell weight.

You could also make something not quite like a dumbbell, not quite like a kettleball. On the galvanized pipe, put 35lb plates in the middle, and have handles on each side of the weight. SO 4-5 plates(about 10-12inches width X 18 inch plate diameters roughly off top of head

If you went with the kettlebell dealio just leave 5 inches at most for handles. So maybe 11+5+5=21 inches

Spring clips would hold the plates in, with the taping regiment listed below with dumbbell instructions.

For loadable thick dumbell

1.5 Inch Galvanized pipe. Should need about 18 inches-29 inches depending on how long you want it.

The od of the galvanized pipe I believe is somewhere around 45 or 48mm.

1 layer of gorilla tape, and 1 layer of electrical tape for the loading areas that spring clip will hold well on.
