Ketosis - In laymens terms ?

OK ive read a bit about this "fat burning" low carb diet.

Just wondering if someone can give me some ACTUAL products that i should consume, in quantities etc

Im joining my local GYM (thats just around the corner, sweet)

I want to get in shape and lose this fat ! im sick of having a shit life because of my weight.

some stats:

Height: 185CM
Weight: 95KG

BF%: well i didnt have and callipers but i rekon its upwards of 30% :(

Remember guys, you tell me to eat crow and hell yes ill eat crow.

IM thinking lots of chicken / turkey ? with protein shakes, cheese, eggs, lots of water.

and what is this flax seed oil ?
ive looked around the whole supermarket but i cant find it anywhere. :confused:

i was brought up on the "no fat high carb" diet
my main food was bread, i was a big fan of the bakerys.

HELP ME GUYS ! :)

You might want to pick up a nutrition book...this stuff is explained in detail in many books these days. "The Zone" and Arnold's Encyclopedia of Bodybuilding are good.

You'll basically want to calculate your active metabolic rate (do an internet search) and eat that amount per day minus 4-500 calories. At least 1 gram of protein per lb of body weight.

Flax seed oil is sold at www.massquantities.com and most health food stores. It is "good fat."

Basically you'll want to eat a lot of protein, cut back on the simple carbs (bread, pasta, etc), and do both cardio and weight lifting. Eat 5-6 smaller meals per day rather than two or three.

Your diet sounds okay -- skip the egg yolks and eat the whites. You might want to go light on the cheese while dieting, but it isn't too bad.

My favorite snack is celery with natural peanut butter.

If you simply read "the metabolic diet"-by di pasquale, you'll see hundreds of menus for this type of diet
