Karma inflation... How to fix it???

Seeing the lengths people now go to whore Karma... Adding Post count to the mix would just increase the already rampant post whoring....

You are incorrect sir, Post whoring is penalized under this system! Check the math.


People with fewer karma and lots of posts will have lower adjusted Karma values. (ie., it turns out to be a measure of Karma/Post, or post quality.)

BRR - justlimit the karmic power increase with the posts and the months. Instead of each 1000 posts and each month for plats, make it longer - like each 10 000 posts and maybe each 3 or 6 months

Errr, BRR, you guys have already been charging for the green for some time now and have made a decent amount I would imagine. Don't really think it would be fair to screw around with it once you've had people throw down real cash.

We have no plans to change the price of the Karma packages. We are not looking to decrease the VALUE of Karma but actually INCREASE it. By slowing down the rate at which Karma is generated in the system. It would do a couple of things. 1- Make the numbers a bit more realistic when playing stuff like Karma poker and other games. 2-Add value to the Karma you already have... We are also talking about lowering the price of Bombs and crap to accommodate for the slower rate at which Karma will be generated...

I have been contimplating this problem at hand. What I have come up with may sound difficult and at first hard to understand, so I will try to keep it as simple as possible.

Everyone should donate all of their Karma to me. I will then be the ultimate karma king and I will rule the Karma world.

In reality I think that maybe you should just do splits like in stock. 1 for 2 but have someway for someone to track what they would have had before the split amounts.

Probably to difficult to do. Plus you'd have a bunch of members who would not understand the basis of a split and just start complaining.
