:Chef: question for ya:
I'm just starting out with my toaster oven Does it still need to pre-heat for baking? If I want to do a "fake pizza" with an Ezekiel bread, sauce & cheese (that I want melted), what's a good setting?

Thanks much! :)

Well, since you are using it for the 1st time & don't really know how "hot" it gets - I'd try 350 degrees & watch it......I like to toast/lightly bake the bread/wrap, etc 1st then put the toppings on & either bake it a little more or broil it for a sec....

I made the hot comment as my toaster oven gets VERY hot, so 350 degrees can tend to burn or overcook.....so just keep an eye on things till you get used to the settings.....

Can't wait to hear how it turns out!! You'll be making all sorts of delicious things soon I'll bet.....

Having your cottage cheese/peaches tomorrow....but all I have is pumpkin pie spice, so I'm using that.... :p

I have found pumpkin and apple pie spice to be fairly interchangeable. I sprinkled some apple spice by accident on a sweet potato today and it turned out to be pretty darn good. So you should be fine.

I'm having peaches & cottage cheese again tomorrow too. There is a produce store by my office that puts out almost perished goods for 99cts at the end of the day - so I got 6 peaches 2 days ago and am gobbling them up before they go bad. Tomorrow is the last of the batch. I'm peached out till next week now :FRlol:
