I survived graduation!!!!!!(for those that care nothing to do with powerlifting)

Cubanito17, good job on your graduation.

I have some advice for you. I am a director at a large telephone/
cable company. I have a group of engineers working for me. My
company has a policy concerning college degrees and engineers.
One of my guys, did not complete college. He is 47 years of age.
I have to push him to go back to finish degree per company
policy. It is a load of shit but rules are rules. Will the degree
do him any good at this stage in his life? Probably not!

I see this crap all the time. Good people being turned down for
jobs or screwed with when on the job just because of no degree.
Avoid this bs and go to college. Get a degree.

Good luck. :)

Thanks guys, I already had a few cold ones but I don't like to get to the point where I don't know what I'm doing. I have plans for college I will be doing first two years here locally and after that i will probably end up in UCF which is a University up in Orlando. After that headed for Law School, most likely back to my hometown down in miami and then come live back here.

:( I already miss high school. But I'm stil chillin wit all my boyz. I am 17 and will be 18 July 27.

Arioch not sure I understand your age question

Vtec ye now I get to carry the gallon around work :D

Geno thanks man I'll make sure not to end up like him, NO OFFENSE to any of those who work for people HONESTLY my dad works for himself and I plan on doing the same I don't have to put up with certain hours or someone telling me how to improve all the time if I don't want too.

benchmonster, start thinking of one now. And it won't be 17 by that time I'll be in my 20's.

And about the PR's I plan on hitting ALOT of them now. B/c NOW i can really diet eat ALOT GAIN MY WEIGHT and do nothing but work lift rest and eat.

Little brother,

first off, great job on cutting up ideas into seperate paragraphs, much easier to follow.

Second, go through college and law school, or whatever grad school you decide on, by going straight through, no breaks, except maybe for summer. If you take off school for the summer, though, do an internship somewhere, or work somewhere in a law firm, if that is what you are interested in. don't just take a summer job, just because. Think about the future. I recommend getting to know as many lawyers, judges, and clerks as you can. It never hurts to have as many contacts as possible.

And Arioch meant that because he was so concerned about you continuing your education, it should be easy for us to guess that he has a kid your age. He was quick to talk about education, because he has that on his mind because of his kid.

Good luck, keep up the lifting and eating, and stick it out in school. Have a good time, but realize that you have to get that degree, and the degree is more important than chasing tail and partying.

B.

Thanks bench and thanks for the tip on breaking up in paragraphs I normally respond like this but when I write or start a thread I just keep going to make sure i don't miss anything.

I don't plan on stopping at all for a job, right now I'm stil at my grocery store I've it'll be 4 years in August that I've been there so it's a family place. but I know some people that are lawyers I should prob contact them see what's up and try and get a job even if it's a volunteer it's experience under the belt.

I you'r thinking about becoming a lawyer, just remember one thing; burnout!

My father is a lawyer, and I know a few lawyers at his firm and after 10 years burnout can really mess you up. Not too mention stress, so if you become a lawyer just remeber to RELAX. Example: My father get's some 10-30 calls a day plus 2-6 clients.
So, he replaces his phone every couple weeks( he seems to have a "habit" of throwing them across his office) as well as secretaries steering clear of his office due to extreme yelling profanities.

Good luck dude.

Thanks for the info bro I've been really thinkin about it. The thing with the phone across the room I can see myself doing that:D . I wasn't thinkin about bein one just to relax I mean i like it i think it's cool. BUt I would be goin into real estate law.
