I Need My Beef Back!!

right before summer i was 180 lbs (@ 5'10"). i had trained nearly every day for over 6 months to get there. then summer hit and i worked 3 months doing heavy concrete labor. i was too exhausted to ever workout after work, but tried to eat everything i could. i lost every bit of fat on me but also lost a shitload of muscle. now i'm about 160 lbs and i feel like a scrawny twerp. i'm at school in Iowa now and am NOT interested in the conventional "bulk-up to a fatass then cut" bodybuilder diet. i know that it might work fastest in the long run but that is not what i want. i just want to gain my muscle back steadily without increase in bodyfat. should i just eat regularly now but feast after workouts? any good tips?

Remeber muscle has memory.

You'll gain that back in half the time, maybe even quicker, just eat a lot of protein though

Not sure I have ever heard of anyone advocating this type of approach that you speak of...

winter is coming on...bring on the cheat foods and sweatshirts, dont worry about a little fat..the extra BW and carbs should make you stronger. Just dont get unhealthy or out of hand(giggling=time to cut up).
