I Cant Bench

i cant put up ne weight on bench.
in the winter i maxxed out at 235. and a few months ago i did 190X6
and im back to the phasemof my werkout ware i bench 3 seets of 5.

today i did 170X5 strugled with 180X5 then went backl down and struggled 175X5

i just keep going down. my coaches an teamates think it is because me and my partner kill ourselves on squat.
i weight 180.

today i ended my squat on 390X5 and my partner 410X5
and neither one of us can bench ne thing.
how could i fit something into my werkout to help my bench???

I'm with him...the key to bench is tri's...post your routine....you'll also need to strengthen your delts and lats.
 
this is the nebraska football werkout.
i go 10 pound lighter on friday and thursday

monday and thursday
warmup snatch squat
rack clean 3X5 pyrimiding
power press 3x5 pyrimiding
rdl 2x10 prymiding
jammer twist.(machine ur standing and u push and twist ur body)
crunches
explosive sprinting werk.


tuesday werkout, also friday

warm up- snatch squat
squat 3X5 pyrimiding
bench 3X5 pyrimiding
jammer press(football machine) werks ur hole body pretty much. 3X10 pyrimiding
lat pulldown 3X10
bb curls 3x10
neck


agility werkout.

but theres really no tircep werkout. on monday, and thursday the day before i bench i am using my triceps in both the power press(behind the neck push press) and in the jammer twist.
and i suck at curling also ive been curling the same weight since i was a fetus i think. i sturggle trying to curl 65.
 
maybe u should try high reps in the 6-12 rep range to switch it up so ur body gets a new feel. 5 X 12, 10, 8, 6, 4 pyramiding the weight up by 5 lbs each time helped me.
 
If possible, try switching to dumbells for a while- they can work wonders. After 4 or 5 weeks,go back to the bench- you may be very surprised.
