Why have a badass looking muscle car if its gotta V6 in it.

the last time i rented a car while mine was getting worked on..........i wound up buying a clone of the rentalcar and trading off my truck before they fixed it, lolol!
Please, if you buy an American "Sports" or "Muscle" car, don't waste your money on a 6, you'll regret it. Oh, and BTW, Saleen and SVT are for sure going to do something with the new body, good luck selling that GT when a real mustang hits the market.rnch said:even the v6 is quicker than before...........just a lil' bit slower than the previous generation's v8 acceleration. give us a full report on this car.....gasoline prices and sticker prices and insurance rates make me wonder if a v6 mustang would be an acceptable compromise.

BodyByFinaplix said:Yep. Viper drivers are so cocky. A bone stock viper showed up at a street race I was at in '95 and said "I have a $1000 that says I can beat any car here" once we realized he wasn't going to give us all a $1000, we had to paper-rock-scissors to see who got ot beat him... he realized he made a mistake when that happened... he actually thought he was going to show up at a serious street race and compete with modified cars with something he bought off the showroom floor... LoL That is like Brad Pitt or Ed Norton showing up at the Mr. Olympia and expecting to place.
crak600 said:Edward Norton version American History X and Brad Pitt version Fight Club would be serious contenders in a Mr. Olympia contest. don't knock them bro. they juiced for those roles.
BodyByFinaplix said:Yeah... and a viper is a fast car... I have some nice beachfront property in Arizona you might be interested in purchasing orb.

Damn near Chrysler should call the new charger a 400C. Typical 21st century Dodge; "let's come up with a design and make every car incorporate it", no individuality. It works for Ferrari, not Chrysler. Same with the GTO, it's just a more powerful Grand Prix or Am. The new mustang is, IMO, a great step in the right direction. Check out the new Roush stangs, TIGHT!!!!GrandMaster said:cant wait to see what the Charger will do when Chrysler comes back out with it

I know a guy who has a Pinto and his back window reads "My pony eats 600hp T/A's". My point is, who cares. Your T/A stock couldn't touch either one of those mentioned. Anybody can pay the money and add the hp and other components. There's some 800hp "rice burners" out there that would destroy you. Again, who cares. Be proud of what you built, not arrogant.BodyByFinaplix said:Well I was going to say "My TA eats vipers and shits cobra mustangs" on the back, buts its too long, and I prefer to not have words on teh back of my car.

I understand where your coming from, I should of thought about that before I bought my Cobra. BTW, I'm not a "Ford Guy", I like cars (except Mustang GTs). I was going to buy a 98 or newer SS before I bought the SVT, I'm going to keep this one for a while, the next car I buy will hopefully be a C6.BodyByFinaplix said:You ford guys are so touchy. LoL Anywho, I looked at both the mustang gt's and the cobras for my project car, since they do have a pretty sweet look to them, and I had access to one at a very reasonable price. The problem was, they simply were not capable of meeting my goals, and teh engines were entirely too expensive to built up parts are outragously priced for the 4.6L DOCH engines. $2500 for a set of cams, $3000-3500 for a sent of decent heads, etc. I really do not want to put $20K in an engine.
