I Have never posted before, but I have been looking for over a year now..... I will get to the point. I work out with Tabata Type Interval training... Meaning all my wieght traing is timed 30 sec on 10 sec reset, 4 diffrent excerises. example- Jump rope- push up- mountain climber-tricept pulldown-... I will do that for 16 rounds..... I loved it and have seen big improvement from the old cardio classes. My problem is I have a problem with my back and bottom... No moving legs at all while i recover:confused: Now what????

I Guess I should put it all out there and post pics.....:worried:

I want to lose more fat... not muscle.... Im on a low Carb Diet... Its clean, but could be better.

Here are my stats: Hieght 5'3 Wieght 137 BF 20% ( not sure) I did the hand held thing at the gym.

Welcome to posting on EF! :) I'm so sorry to hear about the injuries. I have spent most of this year rehab'ing injuries (back and tricep muscle tears) and my best advice is to take the time to heal. Train around the injury if you can, so for you, maybe doing some light upper body? The biggest thing you can do is tighten up your diet, which is a huge part of the equation even with an injury free body. I have struggled with that part of it but I know it makes a huge difference, especially when you can't burn those extra calories with exercise.

All the best to a speedy recovery! :)

Hey Sparky,
Everything caligurl said is dead on.
With a back issue there is not a lot of training that you gonna able to do.....
But also as caligurl said diet is the largest part of this fat loss thing. So what you should do is really get a tight grip on your diet.
RADAR is awsome on diet and I think Rotten Willow is too as well as others on here.

So welcome to EF and just curious how come you didnt post before?
Hope the best for a speedy recovery for you sista and take care!

Was the back injury caused by the specific exercises you did or by something else?

I also do alot of intense cardio intervals, haven't gotten any injuries but was wondering if it could cause similar injuries?

I have not posted before because I wasn't quite sure how to start..... What questions to ask and all that. I was just learning from what other people posted. I just started hitting wieghts hard about one and a half years ago.... Cardio classes were my jam... But never saw the change in my body. Stared lifting and I was getting the results I was looking for!! I could not believe when I could do pull ups!!!( and didn't look like a man!) :)
Alot factored into my injury 1) started lifting way heavy with legs without strechting!
2) Kept upping my wieght too quickly ( I couldn't believe I was so strong) I went form dead lifting 50 lbs to 110 in 3 weeks! Squating went from 45 lbs to 95lbs in same time.
3) I stopped all ab excercies!! ( I read on a diffrent forum " If you are not under 15% BF abs are a waste of time" I know now that they were so wrong!)
Those are my guesses, all these bad choices are to blame for my back and butt injury... :(

Im a gonna have my husband take pics of me for my profile!! I would like if anyone could guess my body fat %.... I don't know how realiable those hand held things are.
Thanks for all the input.... I really do appriecate it! I have never been one to keep really good tabs on my diet. ( you will be able to tell from my pics)
But I thought an hour and a half of killing myself at the gym would take care of the little cheating here and there.... ( more often then I would like to admit)

Hey chika we all gotta start somewhere and live and learn. So now you are past that and breakin down the gate to go!
Good for you!
