You need to include more healthy sources of fat. I don't see any EFA's in there....and I wouldn't take in too much orange juice on a cut.

You'll get much more detailed responses if you include:
- your stats (height, weight, age, etc.,)
- specific numbers regarding calorie intake/food quantities, etc.,

I am 17..I am 5'9 and i weigh 150..i take in like 1821 calories per day and i dunno if i get enough protein and your right i dont get allot of fat at all

Have you seen Mr.X's stickies about CKD diet?, He also has a link to his TKD diet, you could check it out and see if it's for you...

As for suggestions to your eating routine:
1)eliminate the following: orange juice, whole wheat bread (they add corn syrup, white flour and other crap into it...no good, although it might sound healthy), low-fat milk (drink skim, or better, none)...and bowl of fruit in the evening with potatoes?!

2) if you want to consume carbs try to structure your diet so that your consumption is directed towards activity: pre-workout (low/moderate GI) and post-workout...otherwise, in my opinion, carbs are waste.....green leafy vegetables are great (fibers and anti-oxidants)

3)introduce healthy choices of fat: olive oil (mono's), fish/flax/safflower/soybean oils(poly's), and some saturated fats (meats, cheese)

4)attempt at having protein intake in each meal; among protein choices there are plenty: meats, fish, cheese, chicken, plant proteins, etc

5)move more (cardio/sports/weights)

Well, depending on how serious you want to get...you should start counting calories. Try to get at least 150 grams of protein and then shoot for something like 25-30% of your calories from fat (focusing on those EFA's). Then just fill in the rest with starchy carbs and you should be set.

Something like this:
- 180g protein
- 135g carbs
- 60g fat

That's roughly a 40/30/30 (PRO/CHO/FAT) based on 1800 calories daily.

Obviously you'll have to play around with the ratios to find out what works best....but if you don't know where to start....then this should give you a rough idea.

*****

Edit: Or like juve suggested....you could get hardcore and try a CKD!!

BA, right, I read it earlier and didn't even know where to start. Should I point out the fact that 3 meals a day is the horrible... or that 90% of what he eats should not be on a cutting diet, or should I point out everything he is deficient in... I'm posting while working on research for a class right now... so it was not a post I care to tackle today. Its not the worse diet I've ever seen. The Dr.Pepper/twinkie diet is worse.

I'll try to make this short. A few pointers
1) you are not eating enough fat
2) you need at least 6 meals a day
3) throw out the high Gi carbs and fructose (fruit, oj, special K, potatoes, pita and pasta)
4) you are not eating enough vegetables
5) you are not gettinig enough protien
6) your overal intake of vitamins, minerals and photo-nutrients is to low

If you are 150 ibs that last thing you need to be doing is cutting. Put on some size first. Unless you are very overweight, I do not recomend that teenagers go on hypo-caloric diets. You're body is still growing and it needs nutrients and calories.
