How much water to drink

I found this on a website about low carb diets saying people tend to not drink enough water on low carb diets --

(http://www.nutritionalwisdominc.com/diet.htm at the bottom)

Increased intake of protein requires an increased amount of water to metabolize protein. To determine your daily water intake requirements multiply your total body weight by .69 then divide by 32 for the number of quarts of water needed each day. Get a 32ounce water bottle and place the number of rubber bands around it needed for your daily water intake. Each time you finish a quart, remove a rubber band until you have removed them all!

SO.. for my weight at 158 lb x 0.69 / 32 = 3.4 quarts water / day = 7 pints.

One of those 16.9 oz water bottles about equals a pint, so 7 of those / day.

Damn, I drink 4 in a 2 hrs. 1 before breakfast, 1 during cardio, at least 2 by noon. I still estimate i drink at least 1.5 gal / day.

I always know I get enough water on the days I eat tuna from a packet... bite of tuna... swig of water... Today I'll have enough water.... Yes even the flavored ones Shadow!

I get closed to 2 gallons on training days. I drink 3/4 galllon just while working out.

Off days its usually about 1-1.5 gallons.
