J jugarelly New member Apr 21, 2009 #1 I like to bring canned tuna to work since it's a simple take-with source of protein. However, somebody told me a while back that it was too high in sodium. I've started getting the very low sodium tuna which has 70mg per can. Is that reasonable?

joe d High End Bro Platinum Apr 21, 2009 #3 the only really bad effect of a moderately high amount of sodium is it makes you bloat up and not able to eat as much. if your on gear you may want to consider the blood pressure related issues that come from the same amounts of sodium. extreme amounts of sodium would be verry bad in to many ways to list. but extreme is the key word. dont eat 8000mg of sodium per day.
