How much ALA is too much for one day?

Hey Sawastea,

Just noticed that you are from NYC...I am going there in two weeks - any recs on places to go or see??

There is soo much to see. I'd recommend a tour of the Statue of liberty, Ground Zero and those NYC bus tours. Unfortunately there is sooooo much to do and see, it'll be hard to get around. You definitely would like to go to Central Park :D

'Probably not, as long as you don't go hypo. I've used 1000 mg of ala at once, although I can't say that I have been greatly impressed by the compound in general, and have discontinued my use of it, with no apparent change other than my urine doesn't smell as strong now.'

What about r-ala?! Have you tried it?! I'm looking to purchase some...any feedback? You seem to be knowledgeable in these matters..

juve, you might want to look into Glucorell R+

AnaFit sells it...Some great artricles about it. One of which is a sticky

Don't forget about ALA being an awesome antioxidant. I follow a CKD and on non carb days I still take in about 300mg.

juve, I have not tried r-ala, but there is a reasonable amount of research out there that suggest it definately increases insulin sensitivity, and this effect is more pronounced that a racemix ala (standard ala). It may be worth trying if you have the extra $$$ to spare. Currently my budget is tight, because I'm in school full time now. My grocery bill alone is outragous sometimes, and I buy bulk and am selective in what I buy and where I buy it to keep cost down. As a result I tend to rely heavily on drugs, rather than suppliments, and use the most cost-effective one's for achieving my goals.

Thanks for replies Fat_ and BBF...yea i read all those studies...but being a full time college student i also have a tight budget, so i just wanted some first-hand opinions...and since i don't use 'other drugs' i'm leaning towards a conclusion that r-ala will be a worthy investment for me and my goals.

thank you
