How long does ALA stay in the system?

If i have 500mg of ala prior to eating asy 35g of low gi carbs and then 2 hours later i have another 35g low gi carbs, would i need another 500mg of ALA or would there still be enough ALA in my system to cope with another 35g?

You would need another dose of ALA, but I don't think 500mg would be your ideal way to go. Stick w/ around 200-300mg regular ala. I would highly suggest you try the AF store R-ala (G-R).

why would less ala be better than more?

see im getting 120x500mg Ala for $25 so im getting it uber cheap in my opinion which is why im using it.

It's not whether less is better then more or more is better then less. It's the optimal amout that you should look for that: 1) doesn't sink you into a hypoglycemic coma (abuse of ALA, not likely w/ your dose) 2)is not small where your blood sugar still spikes way too high.

I would say with G-R (AF) it's about 100mg per 50carbs, with regular ALA is ballpark 300+/-mg per 50carbs - really depends on the person.
