Hey guys little guidance + pre-pics

Hey everyone I just had my BDAY yesterday I am now 20, I would like to get everything in order here and lose all the weight which is so lovely and I have grown acustomed to having. I mean it really is nice to have in the winter, but I have decided to get rid of it ;) I have been doing a TON of research on KETO do you think this is the quickest/most efficent method to be using? I currently weigh 270lbs, 6'2 I have used several website calculators and they come up with 27% BF for me, though I seem that odd I assume I am more like 35% ish.. what do you think?

Anyways nice to meet you all any advice you can give I will be very greatful about. Thank you.

Also curious how quickly do you think I could reach my goal? and is there anyway i can gain some mass on my arms while doing this?

You'll have no problem shredding those pounds with the proper knowledge and drive, and you will definatly get alot of help here, but first post up some stats such as: trainging history, your end goals, possibly a daily meal plan you want critiqued, etc.
If you haven't done so already check out some of Mr. X's threads at the top of the page. As for a ketogenic diet, its a sure fast way to shed lbs. but its going to take a lot of planning and meticulous determination. Hang around the boards a little bit, do some more research, and see if thats the route you want to go. Judging from your size, age, and BF, i'm sure a simple 40/30/30 diet done right (clean and restricted cals) would yeild fantastic results, and then you could switch to CKD, TKD down the line to refine yourself even further. Welcome to the boards and good luck.

No real training history so far... I have been going to the gym on and off but I get discouraged when it comes to things like the bench press... is there alternatives? All of my buddies bench 250+ so it is kind of embarassing for a big guy who can't bench shit!

I did actually do keto for one week, but then I couldn't afford it and ate macaronni.. I am currently in school becoming a pilot. But I just got my new student loan so I should be ok, the diet looked like this:
Meal 1: 4 Medium Eggs, 3 peices of bacon, 1oz cheese.
Meal 2: 2 cans of tuna tsp of MAYO, 2 stalks of celerey 2tsp of cream cheese.
Meal:3 Chicken Ceaser Salad
PWO: Protien shake, creatine, ala, glutatmine
Meal 4: 3 100% beef patties, 1oz cheese/ tsp mayo, 1 cup of mixed veggies.
Meal 5: half cup cottage cheese 1 hard boiled egg

Which is the CKD diet of course... lemme know what you think.
I also have ephedrine HCL caffeine etc.. the works I am truely dedicated I just want a 100% fail free diet, and make sure I am losing the most weight/gaining if anything maintaining what I have. I would like to get down to at least 200lbs well 199 would be the goal because it is under 200.. i

I have done a lot of research on CKD, and I am totally dedicated. I am just wondering if my goal of 199lbs is going to be reach quickest/easiest with the cdk plan? I would like to get this all off by maybe march if that is reasonable? I am unsure...

With regards to training, fuck the weight you can put up. Put your pride/ego aside and just focus on compound movements (Bench, Military press, Squats, deads, Bent Rows, Close grip bench, straight bar culrs, ets) and perfect form. If you take the time and learn perform lifts correctly the weight will come faster then you expect. Start light, keep a training journal, and move up slowly in reps and or weight each session. Whats more important benching 250 or looking good naked for all those hot sluts you'll be banging? (thats just my opinion) With regards to your diet it looks like you've done some research on CKD. I can only give my experiance which is that its a great diet and definatly sheds that fat fast however I find it a bit painstaking to follow and the weight came back pretty quickly. I hover around 8-10% bf so it doesn't really matter but when I stick to a clean 40/30/30 or even 40/40/20 as mentioned in my previous post, I find that if im trying to lose fat and go under maitenance cals. the fat melts off steadily, not as fast as ckd but steadily and more consistently. And when I eat around maitenance my physique stays just how I want. I feel like ckd/tkd is really up and down with regards to consistency but again thats me. Hope this helps.

awesome thanks man I guess I will give it a shot, the only thing I am worried about is lack of energy and how ephedrine makes me feel when I am flying.. also I am quite the avid drinker lol, so this friday there is a huge concert and $1 beers.. which I will be contributing to and then i will start my diet on the monday... should be fun.. as long as I can be dedicated. The one thing I have found in the past is that not having food around has been the toughest thing... so I just starve my self till i finally need to eat..

but yeah for sure i will just hit it up, whatever everyone starts some where hey?

Starving yourself you'll slow your metabolism and hinder your fat loss, you need to eat 5-6 meals a day. Try thermorexin from the AF store if you don't like the ephedrine, and as far as the boozin just moderate, I love to drink and party to, and its hard to go out when all your homeys are, just try to sip those drafts slowly and instead of 10 have 3. Then you have 7 bucks more to put towards chicken, eggs, tuna, oatmeal, and veggies. :)
 
lol yeah for sure man I am the one in the group who will have 3 pitchers down when everyone is still on their first glass... but thanks for your advice man.. I will keep you guys updated..

Dude you are going to have a ROUGH time losing weight if you drink that much. I party my ass off and I can definately see a huge difference when I limit the booze. How much beer do you drink in night? like 20 beers?
 
well I am canadian so our beer is a quite a bit stronger, I went drinking in america and I had done 24 easy... i was not even completely pissed drunk. I do about 15-17 canadian beers in a night... but I have stopped drinking quite a bit latley. I would have no problems quitting 100% except for I have a bunch of concert tickets for upcomming concerts, and would be nice to drink there but not nessecary.. I am very dedicated..
