I thought I'd share my recipe for home made protein bars from my bbing days. I don't know if anyone has ever mentioned/thought of these before.

The great thing about this recipe is you can add the ingredients in to your liking/macronutrient needs.

More or less...

Now, these are pretty simple. They're a pain in the ass to scoop out, but once you have them under control they're convinient and yummy.

few scoops whey (I like ON chocolate)
few cups whole oats
a little natural PB or AB, whatever
You can add raisins, nuts, etc.
enough egg whites to make a paste (use pasteurized for safety)

Now you can either refridgerate this first, then scoop it into sandwich bags, or deal with the super-stickiness now and put them into sandwich bags like this.

Roll them into balls or whatever, and keep them in the fridge. Once they're hard, they're super easy to take out of the bag.

Hope this helps someone.

After they become hard and you take them out of the bag, do these still need to be refrigerated? I ask because I am going away on a trip and this would be an ideal breakfast for 3 days...I just have 7 hours of travel time without refrigeration, so I want to make sure they won't spoil.
