HELP: Cutting Diet while on Vacation

ConanX

Banned
I'm going to be out of the country soon and I'll be spending 6 days at a resort on a caribean island. I know that it is going to be incredibly tough to keep up with a good diet. I've been having servings of chicken breast/egg whites/whey protein and sweet potatos/brown rice/oats 6 times a day for like the last 2 months. I am already positive that it will be nearly impossible to keep up a diet like that while away because I'll be going to a lot of restaurants and lunch places that only serve chicken fingers, steaks, burgers, etc. What can I do to realistically eat as clean as possible. High protein, medium carbs, super low sodium.

I'm going to get a bag of whey protein powder and a big jar of oats so that should take care of 2 or 3 meals. Breakfast I can order egg whites and oatmeal. But lunch, my 3pm meal, and dinner are what scare me.

Any advice is really welcomed. I want to stay lean while away (time to debut the new body for the chicas :stilleto:) and come back in the same condition that I left. Thanks bros!

Not the help you are looking for, but if you are going on vacation then just say fuck it and enjoy it. That's what I would do.

I honestly believe the 6 days of enjoying yourself and putting on maybe a pound of fat is significantly better for your mental health then worrying about your diet will be for your physical health.

I know man...it's just I've become such a fanatic these past 2 months that I feel guilty having ONE cheat meal. And I'll have my shirt off every single day and will be conscious about any added water weight or fat or if I start to lose muscle. I don't know man, I'm just a little paranoid I guess lol. Thanks though....

Just eat as healthy as possible with the options available at whatever place your eating at. It's not going to be perfect, but you'll be surprised as to what you can find as options these days while eating out. It won't be the diet your used to, However if you watch your portions you should make out very well. Also, every morning if you feel like it do some body weight workouts in the hotel room( if they don't have a gym, which most hotels nowadays do). Push-ups, crunches, chair dips, et cetera.

The MOST important thing is, and don't forget this,...HAVE FUN! Like already said, what fun is a vacation if your worrying all day about your diet and how much you think your bloating. Life is meant to be lived. We all work out hard and eat right so that we CAN go on vacations and eat the way we want while still looking to others like we can do that all day and look the way we do. Live it up bro.

LOL,

Enjoy it bro! I would focus on setting a limit at your maintenance calories on a non training day - eat whatever you want within that boundry.

Thanks guys.

The gym is very good, so I'll be training hard.

I bought a protein shake which comes in little packets that you can take and use in a mixer cup on the go, so hopefully I can keep that with me as backup. I'll just do my best to order grilled chicken on whole wheat or something.

Thanks guys, I'm going in a few days so I'm pretty excited. I've never had this much muscle mass before, and at around 8% bodyfat I just can't wait to hit up the F'in beach!

Remember to enjoy yourself bro. Like you said, you'll still be training hard, so personally id be a bit more slack diet wise. Have fun!

I'm faced with the same problem, i'll be in the Bahamas for a week! I'm 3 weeks into a cut diet so I'm planning to eat a little sloppy, up the cardio and have a lot of sex! I figure I'll break even.
