Hello Everyone

Hey everyone, I am new here, and rather new to weight lifting. I am currently getting money around to buy a power rack, but I need some advice on where to get one and which one to get.

Also, I was wondering, what is the best excersize to increase the size of your forearms?

Thanks!

Stats As Of 10/23/2004:
Height: 5'11
Weight: 137 lbs

Goal For 01/01/2005:
Height: 5'11
Weight: 149lbs to 153 lbs

I'm sure you can get a good deal somewhere online for a power rack, maybe Ebay?

As for the forearms, I'd say heavy deadlifts, heavy pulling exercises like rows, cambered bar reverse curls and seated barbell wrist curls.

Heavy duty captains of crush grippers can add some mass to the foraems and alot of strength to the fingers and grip in general. Can't ever have too strong of a grip.

Thanks for the fast reply. The only excersize I have ever done is curls, so my biceps are rather large (not huge like Beast's or anything), but then my forearms never kept up with them, so it looks akward.

I will check out some crush grippers or whatever they were called. I remember looking at this one power rack that was named "Eliminate your Gym package" or something like that, it was around $1300.00 though.

Hey bro welcome to the neighborhood, was wondering what your bulk diet might be lookin like?I gather your pretty skinny at that height and weight, how old are you?Have you thought about a gym? Maybe a trainer?I've seen skinny guys come into our gym before and get a PT for about 300 a month and in a couple of months they gain around 25 to 30 lbs, then they are ready to go solo with a little more knowledge.Just a thought. You'll get all the help you need on this site though, lot a good bro's here. :)

I found doing wrist curls and reverse wrist curls is working really good, I can really feel the burn right where I want to gain, so hopefully with my new diet and this added on to my excersize list I will gain some size there.

I just kinda thought you were gonna spend about 600 for a power rack you might wanna spend your cash learning from a PT at a gym and gaining some quality size while learning the ins and outs of lifting. :)

Check out this site for power racks and other weight equipment.

I agree about doing heavy deads and pulling exercises to get your foreares to grow. Also try doing static holds when doing deads. Just hold the weight for as long as you can before dropping it.

Welcome brother!! Forearms should develop pretty evenly with everything else. If you want to give them some extra attention reverse curls, coc grippers, hammer curls, wrist curls and deadlifts or timed holds should all help a great deal. You should find most of the information youll need to get started on the boards. The rest will come with time, hard work and experience lifting. Stay with it!
