healthiest cold cut for my diet

Hello, I'm trying to follow a clean diet and I work at a delicatessen where I can eat pretty much anything I want, most of the times I make me sandwiches for lunch, I was wondering which is the healthiest cold cut from red meat to consume while trying to lose weight thank you.

If I came to the deli I'd ask you as you should be the expert. I'd probably look at any I can cut the fat from.

There are much better options. Not to mention all the nitrates, preservatives, artificial flavours and colours...cold cuts are full of fat and empty calories. A lot of cold cuts have wheat and bread crumbs added as a binder. Just read the ingredient list on the package and you will think twice about consuming it. Probably half the ingredients you won't even be able to pronounce.

It's always best to stick with single ingredient foods on a diet. They give you the most bang for your buck. If you compare 100g of cold cuts to 100g of boneless skinless chicken breast, the chicken breast will be much lower in calories and fat while providing more protein.

Not to mention the fact that most food preservatives are estrogenic in the body.

I would say that there is no healthy cold food, so you should rather reconsider for good your meals. There are a lot of things you can have for lunch, and precook them. Alone rice with tuna would be an ideal meal, and it is extremely easy to cook in 5 minutes.

Processed meats are arguably the worst food you could eat. Worse than sugar. They are cancer causing and loaded with garbage.

Honestly, get a whole chicken, cook it, and make your own slices with it.

To be fair a deli (any decent one) will have more than cold cuts (hams, salamis etc) so cold chicken (or indeed hot) should be a good option.
