Getting sick near end of workout???

crazy feet

New member
Hello,

Recently at the end of my workouts ive been feeling pretty sick and feel like I am going to puke.

Right now I am cutting so my calories are lower then usual. I lift heavy weight for almost all the sets (4-6reps) doing compound movements with some isolation movements and my workouts are a bit less then 60 minutes. I usually rest about 3 mins in between sets.

what is causing this? why? How can I prevent this?

I am still seeing gains in both strength and fat loss.

Thanks for the help

its happened to me a few times...usually depends on how intense i am working......when i feel good, i will go all out.....then go into the bathroom to throw water on my face...sometimes i just get so hot and into it, i throw up.....more like gagging..then i feel all better and go back out...most guys just look at you funny. but i've seen it happen to a lot of people.

I only get sick on a heavy leg day. There have been a few occasions where the bushes outside the gym got doused with vomit, but it only happens maybe twice a year to me.

I have always thought that puking as a result of your workout is a badge of honor. Probably because it's never happened to me

LOL

I always get sick.......At first i thought it was the caffeine, but then I notice if I don`t workout so hard then I feel fine.....I think I get better results from higher reps like 15-20, but for some reason I always find myself lifting in the 5 rep range..........I guess I`ll never learn........

From your dieting...it might be an effect of lower blood sugar...but who knows. You could always get some of those sugar tablets for diabetics and take one or two at the beginning of your workout...just in case.

If it is a bad kind of sick...find the answer and fix the problem.

If it is a kind of sick from training your tail off...then just be proud.

low blood sugar, oxygen debt, lactic acid buildup....hmmm....seems like alot going on there. your answer probably lies in those three. might want to try some bcaa's to keep you preserving your muscle during the workout, drink plenty of water and either lighten the load a bit or stretch your rest by about 10-15 more seconds to get you closer(ATP stores back up) to normal again.
