G5.0 vs. Gravity: The Neurotic Ramblings of a Man on a Mission

WooHoo! FInally made it in to the gym today, and I even took a vid. But I can't seem to find the data cable for my cam. Once it turns up I'll post the vid.

Power Clean/Push-Press
Several triples w/ 135, a triple w/ 185, and a few doubles w/ 225. Then I took a vid of a single w/ 225.

-The vid surprised me a bit. I hardly dip at all to receive the bar - it pretty much just jumps up to my shoulders. My push-press looked pretty slow, and again I don't dip much for it either. The push-presses felt slow even during warmups, but the cleans felt normal.

Oly squat
warmups, 365x3, 315x5x3

-Felt GREAT to get under the bar, but I'm gonna be hurtin' tomorrow. It's been over a month since I have trained with any sort of regularity. The triple w/ 365 wasn't to failure, but it wasn't far off, so strength is certainly down a bit. No surprise there I guess.

Then I did 25 decline situps and a set of 15 hypers. Stretched too. Overall I'm just thrilled to have gotten a workout in at all. I pushed somewhat hard on the clean/presses and squats, and kinda went through the motions with the other stuff. It was hot as hell in the 'dungeon' so I was sraggin' ass by the time I finished squatting.
 
Made it to the gym again this a.m. Quick w/o:

Deads: worked up to 365x3x3
-coulda done more weight but my back is tender; all this sitting around does me no good whatsoever

Dips: worked up to BW+90x7
-was hoping for 9-10 but not bad

W/O lasted 30 minutes. I was in a hurry but it felt good to get in there. Damn, I really need a car. Soon....
