For those with exercise biomechanics knowledge (biceps tendon)

Hey everyone,
My dilemma is I have had a problem with my shoulders for 5 months now. WHen ever I do bench press or military press I start aching very bad in my shoulders. I just went to an orthopedic surgeon today and he said that it is my biceps tendon that is getting inflammed. My AC jount and everything else looks great. I ended up getting a cortisone shot but I want to be very prudent so that I can let this tendon get better and not worse.

Problem:
Pain results from movements such as
Bench presses (incline & flat)
Military presses
Bicep curls, especially preacher bench when shoulders are forward

No pain or very little pain from:
Close grip bench
Dips
Over head tri extensions

Question are there any exercise that I can do for shoulders and upper chest (my upper chest is suffering far worse) that don't stretch out the tendon or put stress on it?? THanks guys I appreciate the help.

Bravo,
I have what seems to be the exact same problem. I have it in my right shoulder, and it irritated by the same movements. I know hardcore guys hate this type of advice, but I would suggest backing off a bit when it hurts, in my experience if I let the pump subside a bit and stretch out and massage the shoulder within 5 min or so I can get back to my workout. In my case it only bothers me when the shoulder is pumped full of blood. you also might want to look for exercises that are less problematic, for instance barbell curls using a straight bar kill my shoulder and it is easy to see why. Put your left hand on the front of your right shoulder, then rotate your right hand from a neutral position to the position you would have your hand during a straight barbell curl(palms up). There is a lot more tention in the shoulder where the chest and shoulder meet, that is where my problem is. So for me that is an excersise I do not do, also I can not handle any weight to speak of when it comes to dumbell flyes, so those are also out. Sorry I could not be more helpful, I guess all this boils down to do your best to work around it.
