Nothing wrong with Soy proteins. It may not quite have the BV of whey but still good. One benefit of soy is it may help with heart desease because soy is very low in cholestreol, saturated fat and lactose. So it is a good choice for those who may be lactose intolerant.

Plus it is rich in ISOFLAVORNES which are simular to a weak estrogens. This may benefit women in particular. Males can help too depending on other factors.

Overall soy protein is a added weapon for the health of the body and a good substitute when other forms of protein are not around

additionally there's an isoflavone which has adaptogenic properties

It re-established normal hormonal patterns.

e.g. If testosterone is below baseline..and estrogen above.. it re-established the balance.

additionally.. if hormones are 'normal' it has no effect.

Soy's very versatile.

Especially while dieting..as it increases thyroid output.

This is especially important when metabolism stagnates during a caloric restriction phase.
 
I don't wish to get into a discussion in here, but have you seen this?
Considering the effects of estrogen mimicking chemicals, & the propensity of young male obesity problems relating to fat distribution, I think it's best to avoid soy altogether, if possible. Could you PM me if you have any evidence to the contrary?

I go out of my way to avoid soy all of it period - personally I believe it's right there with the evils of white sugar.

Soy in it's natural form verse soy the filler and binders you find in food are not created equal.

I too have found that soy TO ME, by trial and error is just horrible on my body.
I am not even talking about having the chemichal reaction or breakdown my body goes through, whenever I have soy.

The reaction is sponge flor...LOL...
I wake up and my eyelids are as if I had been in a boxing match with Michael Tyson.
The rest of my body is camel like, not actual hump, but puffy as hell.

I have come to the conclusion that here in Mexico and maybe many other poor countries use soy as main source of proetei because of the value, and it helps the individulas keep water in their bodies, and not seem malnurished.

Will post workout after shower...and errands
