Rotating handles would make it that much harder. That sounds pretty intense if you ask me. Im gonna have to try these.

Yep, just like the herc hold...I have some hefty callouses and I can rest the bar in them, making the grip too easy. With large, revolving handles I'd have to work harder to hold it.

With enough weight on them...the grip wouldn't be 'too easy'

I want to be able to use them lighter for GPP too, and still have to work for it.

I plan on making mine out of a pair of old gas cylinders and welding handles on them. Then I can adjust the weight by adding sand to each one.
