Eating while cutting

So I've been cutting for about 3 months now and dropped 36 lbs, but I'm still looking to drop roughly 35 more.

I'm trying to eat as clean as possible, but there are some rough patches where I just can't do to my lifestyle.

Will I still keep losing if I continue to workout, and monitor my caloric intake, even if they aren't the healthiest of foods. I've noticed that even though I eat kinda crappy my protein is still typically ~175g, 100g Carb, but my fat is way too high at around 80g, and my sodium is through the roof (i can't seem to find a way to avoid this stuff).

Those macros are fine, and sodium is not fattening. Your carbs are quite low, and you may lose insulin sensitivy if you haven't cycled them, so don't suddenly increase them, even when you reach your goal weight.

If it is working for you, it is not essential to change your eating habits, except if other health issues arise. Just be prepared to change if you plateau.

In a way I wonder whether if you are able to lose weight whilst eating badly it may be an advantage, because once its stops, its easy to break the plateau by eating well. It may be harder for someone who adopts a comp diet right from the start to break a plateau

ya better zig zag those carbs brother,

just do 3-4days lowcarb/cal x 3 days high carb and cal make that the weekend so u can pig out!

you need more if you ever plan on growing, for a 21 year old with a 2k bmr he needs about 200 carbs ed (rough estimation)

Research my thread on carb cycling

You can cut body fat by eating a diet that is full of whole natural foods, there is no need to cut your carbs so drastically at your age.

Also, just to be clear, what do you mean by carbs?

Are you replacing the calories lost from the reduced carbs with fat?

I think it might even be a bit dangerous if you do not get your macros right (and in all honestly most young men are not that clued up about diet).

You could end up losing lean muscle, which would slow your metabolic rate, and when you do start eating more normally again................possible to put more fat on quite easily.

I am eating for example:

85g carbs
201g proteins
97.5g fats
___
100g carbs
211g proteins
63g fat
____
carbs- 74g
prot-170g
fats- 55g
_____
carbs- 109g
prot- 152g
fats-67g
______

I get my carbs from my breakfast oatmeals or cereal and the fat free cheese I have that's all. I think its good to make a carb-up day once ina while though.

I am not entirely following your diet plan, are those different days?

I would expand your carbs, I have started to do a bit of reading about the area of glyconutrients. There are carbs on the surface of every cell, and in the body, most functional proteins are coupled with carbohydrated, and called glycoproteins.

I also have a concern when people use 'breakfast oatmeals' and 'cereal' as if they are these 'processed' types, they often contain a lot of refined sugar and salt.

Have you read the ingredients?

Low fat cheese as a source of carbs is also a bit unusual hun.
