Eating late at night

Being lazy like I am, I only get up around 11am because I scheduled all afternoon/evening classes since I hate mornings. Eat some oatmeal and applesauce, then have dinner about 3-4 hours later depending on when I have class. A couple hours later I eat a protein bar and a small serving of yogurt about an hour before going to the gym at 8pm. I get home around 10pm, drink a protein shake and have chicken & broccoli. So that's only 3 meals and it's already 10pm.

Now, what I'm wondering is, if I stay up until 2-3am, when is a good cut off time to stop eating? I could eat constantly pwo, but I always feel guilty eating so late at night (currently bulking btw). After the chicken meal, can I still fit in two more small meals before bed? Usually cashews call out to me late at night, is that too much of a fatty food to eat before bed?

cashews are fine....

id keep my carbs lower at night... but a protien/fat meal around bedtime will prevent catabolism overnight

if your bulking then what are you worrying about?

Like protienfiend said....keep carbs lower around bedtime but other than that....grub out

I always heard it was bad to eat later at night because it all just sits there when you sleep and gets stored as fat. Just trying to clarify some misconceptions I've had, or at least with you guys saying there's nothing wrong with that, to have another reason to eat late and not feel guilty. :D

Its not at all bad eating late at night bro. I'd recommend eating a low GI CHO source, along with a lean protein source. Your body is constantly burning calories, and thus needs a constant supply of fuel (food). Eating late at night is rather imperative to keeping your body out of a catabolic state. So eat up!

I would say that if that is all your are eating, you don't need to cut off at any certain time. Your body needs more calories than you are taking in anyway.

Thanks bro, that's the way I was looking at it. I need to make up calories late in the day.

And thanks Brian, appreciate the feedback!
