Eat constantly?

I doubt every hour would be a good idea. The meals would be so small that you would *never* get even a partial feeling of fullness, which is something that a lot of people need to stay sane.

For the last 2 weeks I've been living on 5 meals per day, each meal exactly 3 hours apart, each meal consisting exactly of the following:

1 scoop whey
5 triscuits
1 tbsp ANBP

Plus some cottage cheese, fish oil, and a multivitamin before bed.

This is for cutting, and I never feel hungry on it, even at only 1700kcal.

Yes, but the difference here is that I am eating HEALTHY things (chicken, green veggies, almonds), pack a pre-set amount...and in that "grazing" while at work...or, more accurately, spreading out my meals (as the topic starter inquired about). I don't eat more than I would normally consume eating that way in the 6 hrs I'm at my office than I would if I took two quick lunch breaks (which usually I don't have time for with my workload anyway, and if I do get some time I'd rather spend it taking a quick walk outside!)...it's probably actually better for me with my schedule than wolfing down some chicken, rice, etc in the few minutes of free time I get would be.

People get fat because they sit with an entire bag of potato chips or other crap, and THEN go eat a huge meal. I've never heard of anyone getting fat off of a baggie full of green beans.

Yikes or not, it's been pretty effective so far. Down 4lbs in 2 weeks with no strength loss yet. Coworkers make fun of me, tho.

This is true, thanks for clarifying...............just watch the calories, tis all.....few almonds goes a long way....esp. for a female........personally, I'd rather let my body rest and eat every 2-3 hours, but that's preference......

An ounce of almonds each day is an essential part of my diet...that's pretty much all the fat I consume on a daily basis.

and I'm making fun of you too....well, not really, but that diet is one of the worst I've seen....In myu opinion.....cmon, triscuits and peanut butter all day every day? Are you taking whey as your only protein source? If so, you're pissing your money away...just an FYI.....you never asked for help, tis why I never offered............YIKES! :evil:

Triscuits: whole-wheat carb source; decent amount of fiber
Peanut butter: omega-6 non-trans healthy fat source, some protein
Whey: amino-complete, with lots of glutamine to help with anti-catabolism
Cottage cheese before bed: slow-digesting protein, also amino-complete
fish oil before bed: omega-3 to round out helthy fat sources
multivitamin before bed: makes up for lack of vitamins/minerals during the day

Yeah whey is the main protein source( pb has some too, as you know, so does the cottage cheese ), but I don't see the problem as long as it's amino-complete.

I don't have time to be cooking all the time, and I make a decent income, so convenience is far more important to me than cost. This seems to be working pretty well so far.

Critiques are always welcome, if you have the time.
 
to digest food, your body slips into the rest and digest (parasympathetic) mode, where it diverts energy and blood away from muscles and other non-essential organs to the stomach. if you are constantly supplying your body with food, then you will feel like crap, since your body will constantly supply your stomach and intestines with food and energy to digest what you just ate.

don't believe me? take a jog right after a big meal. you're likely to throw it up, or have a serious case of indigestion. that's because your body just shifted its energy/blood supply to your muscles, and away from your stomach. Result: indigestion.

So, yeah, I suppose if you had an office job where all you did was sit around in a cubicle all day, you could probably get away with eating all day, but I wouldn't try it if you have to move around
