How did I do?

In my opinion pretty good. If you look at the numbers then it looks bad

I finished fourth out of four competitors.

My class, the middleweights, was the hardest class. Before we went onstage the mc told us to put on a good show because we where the only class with everyone looking good and able to make the audience scream. He also said it would be a very hard class to judge.

Two judges had me 2nd and one had me 3rd while the rest had me 4th.

Even the winner had some 3rd place votes from judges.

By the way the class winner was RoNiN from Elite Fitness, very nice guy, he also won the overall.

I am not disapointed because

1) the other guys that beat me looked great
2) I looked the best I have ever looked on that day
3) Judges, The show MC, Higher Level competitors and even competitors in my class told me I looked massive, symetrical and full and have great potential. The only thing lacking was a little condition.

The judges told me I could have won the overall and that show easy if I would have been in shape. That is enough to motivate me for next time

Some people told me I could win any show I enter if I can get shreded. About 1-2% more lean.

I was the biggest guy in the show mass wise. I weighed in at a very depleted 173lbs @ 5'6.

The winner RoNiN was 170lbs but 5'10. The other guys in my class where 165lbs and taller than me.

I am getting the developped pics tonight and may post a couple tomorrow. Actually I have to post atleat one I owe you guys that much...

Drexx , you looked very dangerous. You are very thick and muscular. You have great potential of getting very big. If you keep it up and continue to progress you could get as big as lee priest.

Canadian Bodybuilding really puts alot of importence on conditioning. I have seen alot of competitions where the bigger guy loses to the leaner more ripped guy. It has been that way for at least 10 years now so I doubt it will change that much.

I agree with Drexx , the middleweights was by far the toughest class in the entire show. All of the guys were in very good condition and very muscular. In fact the guy who placed in the top three was the masters champion.

>Even the winner had some 3rd place votes from
> judges.

After the show I was told by some of the judges that my hamstrings could have showed more. He wasn't sure if it was because I wasn't flexing them hard enough or if I needed better conditioning. He was one of the judges who placed me 3rd. As far as I know the reason some of the judges had me at a lower placing is because I went flat on stage in the last comparision of pre judging.

I agree 100%. As far as I'm concerned as long as you are better then your last compeition or at least learned something new you will be a successful athelete.

>The judges told me I could have won the overall and >that show easy if I would have been in shape. That is >enough to motivate me for next time

I can see that as a possibility. If you were ripped I don't know if I would win , at the very least it would have been very tough.

I was too light for my height. I need to focas on more size in order to be more competitive.

My off season start's this Sat. and my focas is on adding more size to my legs and arms. My shoulders could improve a little on the front and rear so that I can look thicker on the side.

I worked really hard for that show and I was exhausted after. Some guys wanted me to hold my peak for another three weeks and do a regional show but I just can't do it. I need to add more size in the off season and then I'll compete again.

You did a great job Drexx. It wasn't your day but that never means that you don't have potential or a future in the sport. If I thought that way I would have quit a long time ago.

Enjoy the off season.

RoNiN: Thanks friend!

That means a lot comming from someone like you. You looked great and I am glad you took our class and the overall.

It must of felt great. Luck had nothing to do with it. You had your shit together and that's what made you the champion.

I hope you post your pics.

For the others RoNiN is a very classy guy and he was very nice to me during and after the show. Cheering me up and encouraging me to keep competing. The sport needs more guys like him.

I got some pics scanned today but didn't have time to blotch out the face so I can only post the back poses...

Be kind I am sensitive :)

If you look your best at a show, your a winner competition is tough these day. With you attitude you
can only improve. Good Job

hey Drexx

Where'd your hamstrings go??? I'm just jokin' with you bro. You're in much better condition than I would ever be. I'm 6' and 250 give or take a pound or two at around 20% haha. I just like to eat and be big, but then again I'm a bouncer and not a competitive bodybuilder. Good luck on your next contest bro.

Great isn't the right word , shocked is more like it. I
never thought it would happen and It caught me by surprise.

I'm still trying to accept what has happened but at the same time I realize that things are only going to get tougher so I have to keep focased on improving.

Your a nice guy as well. I understand how you feel because we are both travelling on the same road. I see no reason to be unfriendly , what is the point , we all worked so hard to get there and put ourselves under the gun that day. At that point you might as well have fun and support all of your competition because we are not really competing against each other , we are competing against ourselves and what the judges think.

Some day we might compete again for an overall and you will take it , it all depends on what happens that day.

If you compete again next year I will be there cheering you on Drexx.
