And the fucked up part is that I must be really stupid because I did for several years. I don't see how I ever fell in love with her. The emotions of love are truly a mystery to me.

Well, I have other ex-girlfriends that I still get along with but this one in particular is a bitch. I'm so glad she isn't part of my life anymore. I hadn't talked to her in a long time until a few weeks ago so I tried to be mature about the whole situation and make conversation with her. It worked out okay for a while but then she pissed me off telling me that I'm still too committed to my family and that's the reason we couldn't have gone on together. Like that's a character flaw or something!!

As for me - look - no lawn boy involved. But my ex, for whom I cared deeply, is 28, wants to get married (apparently not to me), and has made so many no-common-sense decisions.

She has absoluetly zero decent dating prospects, no money saved, and a lot of debt. Despite having a decent degree, she has been unable to leverage it into anything, and is over $40,000 in debt. She couldn't even afford cable Internet at her apartment. She has NetZero now.

A certain EF mioderator who visited her a while ago felt so badly for the way she was barely getting by, that he bought her a kitchen set and some patio furniture.

Your ex being with the Lawn Boy (and mine being destined for an unfulfilling life) reinforces something I have known for a while, but soemtimes forget:
