Do you count carbs from veggies?

I was just wondering if most of you accounted for the carbs from green veggies. I'm trying to lean up, not a 12 week shred athon or anything. I'm using fitday, couting veggies/fruit i'm at 170g, which is kind of high based on basic cutting regimes. With out counting the veggies i'm at a 101g per day, which i think is pretty good.

-I'm already cycling high and low calorie days based on work outs.
-Start off with wheat bread and have not starchy carbs after noon.
-Staying away from sugars
-overall percentage looks like 50%pro 25%carb 25%fats(from pb)

thanks

I would not count green veggies. A lot of them are actually negative calorie foods to begin with.

veggies.. green I don't count.. all others yes...

and if i'm attempting to get into keto, less than 50g per day, i count everything

pretty sure negative calorie foods are non existent...

Yeah, basically this. The TEF may approach as much as 30% for foods high in fiber, cellulose and protein... But I mean, we're talking about 20Kcal from a cup of diced kale, or two handfuls of spinach.

Even if negative calorie foods were true, if you're trying to stay in Ketosis or follow a CKD, you absolutely should count the carbs in them. For just about anyone else (or anyone consuming zero other sources of carbs) I could see letting them slide.

Since I eat raw cruciferous vegetables and spinach almost exclusively, I don't even count them in my calorie count, let alone my carb count.

ive always considered veg's a free food but thats because i stick to the rest of my cals n macs n very vary rarely cheat or eat unclean food
