Do you consider knee wraps cheating?

Simple question. Im 36 been lifting long time I am currently starting to use knee wraps, I had acl surgery about 2 years ago and when I do squats the wraps make my knee more stable. My boys are busting my nuts over using them. I do REAL squats I dont go below parellel but deep. Stats 5'10, 220 I just lost some weight. I dont use wraps till 405. Currently doing 405 for 8-10 with wraps, no belt. I dont think the wraps help in strength at least not much. And I have properly rehabed my knee. Just thought I would get some opinions.
 
My knees are the only thing on me that does not hurt. lol. I have never regained my stability side to side and when the weight goes up it seems to not be as strong. I had a pretty bad injury. But I have no pain. Now my shoulders and elbows are a different story
 
you "dont go below parallel but deep"... that is an oxymoron...
if you are above parallel then you are not deep...
squats done below parallel will be much easier on you knees... sit back into them and let the load bear on your ass... stopping above parallel puts all the force on your knees, they act as brakes...
i wouldnt call it cheating at all, youre just being safe... you do get some rebound out of the hole if you squat deep, but above parallel i doubt you will experience any of that benefeit...

If you're not breaking parallel then you are not going deep...

Breaking parallel = squatting.

Going ass to the grass, calves touching your hamstrings = squatting deep.

Also if your mates think using knee wraps is cheating then god help you if you ever use a suit or a bench shirt!
 
Hell no not cheating, Essential for my knees health.......whats left of it anyways.
