Hey all need some help in coming up with a diet program for gaining weight I work out 4 time a wk no cardio as yet want to bulk up first stats 27yr 5"6 158pounds 13%bf any help much appreciated

I can't lay out a diet for you but I've always been skinny. 5'11" 135lbs skinny. One thing that helped me to finally pack on a few pounds was tracking the amount of calories I consumed daily instead of just guessing. I use an app on my phone called myfitnesspal. May be a tool that helps others too.

could eat pizza everyday? its what im thinking about atm.
currently ; 5'10 - 172 lbs , 14% BF, cutting down can be done after the mass is there, shredding up you know, on top of a healthy diet, a few pizzas a day could pack it on i heard?

Pizza is shit food, and not for bodybuilders. It will add weight to you but not the right kind. You will just get fat. Pizza is generally low protein, high fat, and high carb. A cheat meal once a week or every other week is ok, but stay the hell away from eating it often unless you plan to look like the rest of obese America

You need high protein and high carb bro. Eat a lot of meats. Chicken, steak fish. Filler up with carbs as well! Sweet potatoes, rice etc!

Eat a diet that's high in lean proteins, high in slow digesting carbs and with moderate fats, and you'll be gaining muscle and strength while keeping your fat gains minimal.

Its will also be useful to you if you find a calorie calculator to give you a rough estimate on how much too eat.

surely though rick, if one wants to pack on size (and i know the mentality of the general population of people) they want size quick, and getting big should be the priority surely? eating a good diet is obv the best way, but its high in cost, time consuming and can be de-motivating IMHO, but eating pizza or burgers will get you fat yes, will put fat on yes, but with fat comes size right?

False. Could not be more untrue.

Especially if one plans on working out. Try hitting the gym 5 days a week when all you eat is garbage. Bet it won't go well. You will lack energy, and your body will be pissed that it's so weighed down.

Another myth...eating healthy is expensive. The most expensive thing I find is produce. Veggies & Fruits can indeed get pricey, but a 10 pack of chicken breasts at my local super market is about $8. That's multiple meals. A box of brown rice is $1-$2. 2 dozen X-Lrg eggs are $3.49. And a huge thing of oats is like $4. Idk about you man, but I eat a TON of food, raise two kids on my own, and we seem to foot the food bill alright.

If you wanna pack on any sustainable weight that won't burn under some cardio, then read the nutrition stickies, find a solid training routine, eat a ton of food, and lift until you can barely crawl to your car. Does eating heavy and lifting heavy take work? Sure does. But this is a game of hard work and dedication.

This is spot on. I use MyFitnessPal too calculate calorie intake. There are no shortcuts, either you do it right or don't bother at all. The app will allow you to scan certain food brands and search for thousands of meals.
You need to be eating no less than 3500 calories a day to bulk up, probably more. It should consist of Protein (roughly 1:2 weight to protein ratio), carbs (good carbs, sweet potato, brown rice, veggies etc) and fat. YES, fat is also very important, but the good types.
It is not easy to get it all in, that is why eating 6-7 times a day is necessary, but regular snacking also keeps your body burning fat. The whole bulking at cutting cycle is bullshit. You can bulk up and not gain fat at the same time.

Good luck, BE PATIENT, persevere....
