i read arioch's essay on the deadlift, but am still confused.
i'm really scared of hurting my back when doing deads, so i'm using very small weights (um, 10 lbs...go ahead and laugh ), and i'm not really feeling it working any muscles. should i increase the weight? i was told that i should be lifting the heaviest weight for me, in order to feel anthing. is this true?
and is the proper form for a deadlift essentially a curved back but shoulders back, with bent knees?
and would i really suffer if i cut deads out of my workout?
any help would be appreciated
