Nice lifting bro... how do the DB rows feel with your back issue? You prop a knee up on a bench or do the "runner's stretch" style?
 
There is a meet in Austin this weekend. Real close to my house. Lady at the gym is competing in both the Clean/Jerk and the Snatch. She said there would be from 8yr olds to 80yr olds competing. Never been to anything like it so I will check it out w/ my 2 boys.

I think some lifters from Wichita Falls will be there...

DB rows feel great. Too new to the lift to know how much I can do - I think I will do 80,90,100 x10 next session and go from there. I did a few reps w/ a 130 just to see what it felt like and it was pretty heavy. I am doing them w/ a hand/knee on the bench
 
coo ... I do the hand and knee down too. I've seen vids where just a hand down and runner's stretch was used, i may give that a try sometime.

I wonder what the general consensus is on the amount of hip thrust is supposed to be used? But I suppose it depends on what exactly you're training for. Cuz I know when i get tired i start air humping the weight up, lol

Agreed with CS... take pics :) Sounds like it'll be a great experience to watch.
 
hey what up bro...do you usually drink that many shakes in a day? i drink 2 pretty much everyday and i think that alot...prob going to switch to some cottage cheese with pineapple in the am instead of whey shake.

let me know how that concoction works with yout back issues...i may wanna give it a shot.
 
On the DB Rows I use no hip drive. I try to pull on a plane similar to starting a mower if that makes any sense. I think as I start using some real weight I may use my hips a tad, not sure. No deweighting on these either.

Yeah, unfortunately I drink a lot of astronaut food. I, like you I think, can't seem to eat solid foods for breakfast. I need to break this habit.
