Deadlift article

EM haven't you been training for 2 years? :)

No I havnt, injures have fucked me over though and my deadlift is no where near 400.

I started lifting properly (at home) 1st september 2008 and I joined the gym in late november of 2008. So I have 6 months until I have been training 2 years. 297x5 is my best pull to this date so getting up to 400 would be very hard in 6 months.

oh didnt notice the adult thing, thanks :)

in relation to that article though the big things I need to improve on that are mensioned in there are speed and glute activation... I suck at both of those and I bet the glute thing would help my squat too...

Lol don't worry I was just messing with you:) I literally think you could get 400 in 6 months if you really worked at it, I went from where you were now to 380x5 in 5 months. I am a little older but still I think you could do it barring injuries:)

I asked this a few weeks ago in another thread, but in the article it says:

4. Keep your chin tucked and find a spot roughly 10-15 feet ahead of you on the floor and fixate on it throughout the entire movement.

Any views on the above ^^^^?

It is one way to go at it. It can help you with keeping your upper back tight during the lift. Some lifters don't let their spine curve, but let their shoulders roll forward. This can help that.

ok thanks. Just curious becuase i have heard so much mixed information regarding what to do with the head during a deadlift. I guess i'll have to try a few ways and see which way works best for me.
