i train in the morning, the day after carb-up and wondering if its necessary to add fat to my preworkout meal? i usually have whey+flax..should I drop the oil?
 
I don't - mainly because I want the protein to absorb as quickly as possible. I have fat in my post-workout meal though.
 
JJ - just wondering, why do you include fat in your post workout shake? What is the breakdown of your shake (cals, fat, pro, carb).
 
If I train in the morning, my post workout meal is literally a meal - whole eggs, turkey bacon, and a little olive oil. I'll drink 25 grams of whey before the workout, then eat real food after. This is mainly due to my work schedule - I don't have the luxury of hanging out and getting in a shake and a meal post workout before I have to go to work, so I picked the meal over a shake.

I include fat because of the type of diet I'm on - very low carb, high fat and protein.
